    Shape the beef mince into a patty and season well.

    Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patty for 4–5 minutes each side until cooked through, topping with the cheese slice for the last minute to melt.

    Toast the burger bun cut-side down in the same pan for 1 minute.

    Spread the bun with mayonnaise and ketchup.

    Build the burger with the lettuce, the patty and cheese, and a slice of beetroot and tomato.
