Method

    Cook the rice according to the packet instructions.

    Shape the beef mince into a patty, season and fry for 4–5 minutes each side until cooked through, then keep warm.

    In the same pan, fry the mushrooms in the butter for 2–3 minutes.

    Add the stock and soy sauce, thicken with a cornflour and water slurry, and simmer for 2–3 minutes into a gravy.

    Fry the egg sunny-side up in a separate pan.

    Serve the patty over the rice, topped with the fried egg and gravy.
