Canadian-Style Maple Salmon with Wild Rice
A single portion of Canadian cooking, ready in 22 minutes with 7 minutes of prep. Written for one, so there is nothing to halve and nothing to waste.
Method
- 1
Mix the maple syrup, soy sauce and garlic for the glaze.
- 2
Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and cook the salmon, skin-side down, for 4 minutes.
- 3
Flip, brush with the glaze, and cook for 3–4 minutes more until glazed and cooked through.
- 4
Meanwhile, steam the green beans for 4–5 minutes and warm the wild rice.
- 5
Season to taste, then serve the salmon over the rice with the green beans, spooning over any extra glaze, with the lemon wedge for squeezing.
